This 1991 Candy Apple Red California  BMW 318i is beauty and looking for a new home. This classic E30 features the rare M42 1.8L engine, only used on this year E30, with a quick 5 Speed transmission, you'll feel like you're on the Autobahn. Odometer reads 175,662 but it no longer works so TMU, but that's pretty close, as car has been in storage. Candy Apple Red exterior with Tan "leather" interior . Full power windows, though driver side front and rear windows either need a motor or regulator, as they don't function and power locks work. Heat works, air blows but probably needs a charge to be cold. Tires are fair and there is a spare in the back. Original Allesio wheels are in good shape as well. Interior is in very good condition, aside from torn drivers seat (see pics) and there are 2 minor cracks in the dash but door panels are good. Carpet is very good, no rips or tears but it is stained. A seat cover and a good detailing and shampooing of the carpets would really make it pop. I shampooed the original BMW floor mats, but I'm sure a professional could do a much better job. Exterior paint is so shiny it's almost blinding and body is in very good condition with no damage but yes there are a few beauty marks on the bottom and trim, as to be expected from a car this seasoned.
This German sedan runs strong, drives and shifts gears smoothly, including reverse. This baby is zippy and swift. So fun to drive. Starts up first crank, does not overheat or stall. Radio was upgraded to an aftermarket JVC and sunroof opens and closes with ease.  No check engine or warning lights of any kind, headlights/taillights/brake lights all work,  turn signals work, hazards, all in working order. Side view mirrors seem off track, as motor works, but they don't move. Also, I'm including a bunch of spare left over parts that were in the trunk and two new hood and trunk emblems. Don't know if the parts function, but they are included nonetheless.

I have done my best to describe this BMW accurately and thoroughly, disclosing all information known to me, and have included plenty of pictures for your visual reference, but if I have inadvertently neglected to include any detail you need, please do not hesitate to contact me, as all questions will be answered promptly. Yes, this car has a salvage title from an attempted theft/vandalsim many years ago, but you don't drive the title, you drive the car, and this car drives! By no means is this car perfect or in showroom condition, please don't expect such, but it is as described. These collectible BMW's are increasingly rare, and becoming hard to find, so don't let this one get away. This motor vehicle is being sold AS IS with all faults, including but not limited to those described herein, as well as any other defects, whether or nor presently known or discoverable with or without inspection and operation of the vehicle. Should the motor vehicle be found to be defective after purchase, buyer is fully and solely responsible for any and all servicing and repair costs. If applicable, and unless stated above, should vehicle require smog in your state of purchase, buyer will be solely and fully responsible for smogging vehicle and any and all repair costs associated with making vehicle able to pass smog if such repairs and service are needed. The California Vehicle Code (CVC) 24007 (b) (2) issued in accordance with section 44015 of the Health and Safety Code, states that buyers can be presented with a certificate of compliance or a certificate of non-compliance (that has been issued within 90 days) before or at the time of sale. This will allow buyers to pay the registration fees and tax then transfer the car into their name at the DMV and provides them with 90 days of temporary registration from the time the certificate of non-compliance was issued for the vehicle, thus allowing the buyer time to repair the vehicle and bring it into smog conformity. This vehicle will be delivered with a Salvage California Title/Pink Slip, Bill of Sale, Smog (if applicable and stated), and 1 ignition/door key and 1 glove box key. This is all the paperwork you will receive. Verify with your state if this is sufficient to register the vehicle in your state, as it is all you will receive. Should you require additional paperwork, it is your due diligence as the buyer to contact the DMV and acquire all necessary documents. If sale is not completed, I will file a Non Paying bidder alert and seek litigation if needed. I retain the right to refuse bids from ebay buyers with substantial negative history or limited/no history. Winning bidder must contact me with 24 hours of auction close to inform me as to how sale will be completed. Transaction must be completed within 3 days of auction close unless otherwise discussed and item will be returned to the auction block.
