Zani (Gene Raymond), a young zoo keeper, has spent his life inside the zoo in Budapest where his only true friends are the animals. He meets Eve (Loretta Young), an orphan on a tour with her caretakers from the orphanage. They fall in love, and to stay together they must hideout overnight in the zoo, while a search party looks for them.
